It was a chance comment that brought Fyre to me - coming up to the '08 VIC Aussie Specialty, Donna and I were trading e-mails thick and fast to make sure we had everything organised. Of course, it was not all 'business'; we had plenty of e-mails about random other dog stuff too :) One of those was me lamenting my forced absence from the agility trial ring due to Porter's injured cruciate and now semi-retirement. In reply, Donna suggested that Fyre would love to do some agility, and would I be interested in having him visit for 10-12 months? Well, one thing led to another and in what seemed like no time at all Fyre was touching down on Adelaide soil having just spent a successful six months in Perth truffle hunting. |

Fyre settled into his new home no trouble at all - his arrival was much to the delight of Josh, who thinks Fyre was a personal gift just for him to play with 24 hours a day! Fyre himself quickly rounded up all the toys that had been scattered by Josh to the far corners of the yard. The two of them have become best friends and spend hours each day playing together or just lying down enjoying each other's company. |
