Anne's Kira is the first Aussie I ever met. Anne brought Kira to the obedience club where I was training as an instructor at the time (2001) and what initially began as a way of keeping up our obedience/agility training over summer became a training session (or two!) every week since, and even a trip to New Zealand together for Anne and I. Porter and Kira, who have known each other since puppyhood, have always been good friends and now Josh has joined the pack we often have three Aussies tearing round the park with their favourite squeaky toy :) |

My friendship with Lindy & Nancy began when I enquired about getting a puppy from them... and the rest is history! I count my lucky stars every day to have stumbled across the Sutter website - as well as my gorgeous boy Josh, I have gained two wonderful friends who constantly answer my never-ending questions and enthusiastically share their extensive knowledge of the Aussie breed. (And because I value their friendship I haven't put photos of themselves here :>) |
These photos of Donna and her lovely boy Doc 'Aus Ch Sutter's Grey's Anatomy' were all taken at the Aussie Club of VIC Specialty shows November 2007 |
I first contacted Donna when I found out she had brought Doc to Australia - I was thrilled to see a Sutter puppy here and it was wonderful to have someone to share with my excitement about bringing home my own Sutter baby. We continued to exchange e-mails and eventually met for the first time in person at the Aussie Club of Victoria Specialty shows in November 2007, where I watched Donna and Doc strut their stuff and enjoyed 48 hours of talking about nothing but Aussies. It was so much fun we are already planning our ASCV trip for November '08 :) |
Over the years of Porter's involvement in trialling, I have made many wonderful friends in the obedience and agility communities, and the Para Districts Obedience Dog Club. Danni and her girls Xena and Inka always kept us on our toes in the obedience ring, and in 2005 Danni's Xena and my Porter won Golden Dumbell (Top obedience dog in the state) and Runner-Up Golden Dumbell respectively. Of course Porter and Josh have made many of their own doggy friends too :) |
